RBHS School-Wide Improvement Plan Overview

School Goals
● Increase Graduation Rate
● Decrease Chronic Absenteeism
● Implement One to One Technology Integration and Project-Based Learning

Student Performance
● Professional development, human capital, instructional resources, and all funds is focused on improving student performance.
● RBHS offers remediation courses during 3rd block (50 minutes) for English 9-11 and Algebra I-II courses
● After-school tutoring in English, math, and biology is offered throughout the week to further support student needs.
● Response to Intervention (RTI) is implemented to help reduce student achievement gaps.
● Title I funds are utilized to provide instructional supports and materials to meet student needs.
● RBHS uses data sources from quarterly summative assessments, Reading Plus, Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB), PLAN, and ACT to improve student performance.

Community
● Red Bank High School implemented the Community School model beginning in the 16-17 school year. Northside Neighborhood House is the lead partner and a Coordinator has been hired to build relationships with outside organizations for students inside and outside of school.
● RBHS will communicate with stakeholders and seek to increase parental involvement through the school website, SchoolMessenger calls, Twitter, Facebook, ROAR Night, Parent-Teacher Conferences, and Open House.

Human Capital
● Red Bank High School focuses on effective instructional practices and engagement in the areas of: Literacy, Numeracy, Science, Technology, and Parental Engagement to reduce student achievement gaps.
● Administrators and teachers will attend professional development in order to focus on improving literacy, performance based assessments, and instructional strategies to prepare students for the ACT and EOCs/TN Ready Tests.
● English and Math department chairs will attend targeted professional development to learn engagement and literacy strategies.
● The guidance department will help seniors transition to post-high school success through academic planning for graduation, scholarship applications, career path planning, college and TN Promise applications.
● A graduation coach has been hired to help "at-risk" students in improving behaviors and meeting credit and graduation requirements.
