I teach Biology, AP Biology, and Physical Science. I have been teaching in Hamilton County since 1997 and began teaching at Red Bank High in 2016. I graduated from UTC with a degree in secondary education and a focus on biology in 1997.   I love to be outdoors, travel and spend time with my friends and family.  I want all of my students to develop or deepen a love of science and become critical thinkers that will help them make decisions so that they will be successful in their post-secondary goals.

I have also been a Clinical Instructor since 2017 with Project Inspire to help develop the next generation of teachers.  This year, there will two Project Inspire residents that will be an integral part of our classrooms. Marti Hemphill graduated with a B.S. in biology in 2015. She has spent the past four years working in the youth program for a cruise ship company. In addition to science, Marti is passionate about books, the arts, and developing a love for learning and exploration in others. Lora Miller graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a B.S. in environmental science. During her undergrad, she was the qPCR Manager and Student Director of Outreach at the Laboratory of Medical Zoology working with tick-borne pathogens. Upon graduation, she took a position as a Research Assistant at the Conservation Genetics Lab where she worked in both the field and in the lab collecting and processing genetic samples from freshwater species. Last school year Lora was the Science Lab Coach at Dalewood Middle School where she worked with all of the science teachers in the school to engage students in weekly hands-on labs.

If you have any questions or need help with anything, please let me know.  I look forward to our upcoming school year!
